Maria Bath Representing Newfoundland and Labrador at Canadian Equestrian Championships
                                - Bromont, Quebec September 15-18, 2011

The Caballista is hosting a national horse show and for the first time has invited all provinces to compete in what they have named the Canadian Equestrian Championship. This show, for young riders/amateurs, is being held at Bromont Equestrian Olympic Park just outside of Montreal, Quebec from September 15th-18th.

Teams from each province have been invited to compete in three equestrian disciplines - western reining, jumping and dressage. Representatives from all of Canada's provinces will compete as individuals and teams. This year Maria Bath was selected by the Newfoundland and Labrador Equestrian Association (NEA) to compete and she qualified for the dressage event. Horses and riders were assessed by a nationally recognized coach prior to selection for the event. This year Maria will be the sole representative for our provincial team.

The NL team includes Maria Bath and chef d'equipe/groom Colette Phillips.

Maria is being sponsored by Copernicus Educational Products and has had much support from Sport NL and Kathie Lane.

                                Congratulations Maria and Have Fun!
