Maintaining coach certification
Certification Maintenance
Professional development and lifelong learning are the keys to successfully maintaining a high-quality learning environment for equestrians as a coach or instructor - at any level. Therefore, in order to maintain certification, NCCP Certified Coaches and Instructors are required to participate in ongoing professional development.
The instructor/ coach is responsible for maintaining their current status. It is not the responsibility of the NLEA or EC. The individual must arrange, attend, and submit the appropriate paperwork to the NLEA office (appropriate Coaching Coordinator) to ensure their coaching status remains current. The professional development requirements are available on the EC website and in The Locker.
Failure to maintain current status can result in re-certification process.
Please visit the EC website for complete details on certification maintenance.
