MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Everyone is welcome to become a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Equestrian Association!
The annual membership fee of $40.00 is affordable and awards the member the following benefits:
- Automatic insurance enrollment and coverage for any and all personally owned equines through Acera Insurance Services Ltd. including:
- $5,000,000 Personal Liability Insurance
- $1,000 property damage deductible
- $40,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage
- Additional insurance options can be purchased through the membership form and/or through Acera Insurance directly.
- $5,000,000 Personal Liability Insurance
- Eligibility to participate in the NLEA sanctioned competition circuit and events and are eligible for Year End and Achievement awards.
- Ability to log Trail Riding hours towards annual awards.
- Affiliation to Equestrian Canada: access to participate in EC Learn to Ride/Drive and Coaching programs.
- Ability to become EC Sport License Holders to compete in EC sanctioned Bronze, Silver and Gold level shows.
- Eligibility to apply for NLEA bursaries and Sport NL scholarships, grants, assistance, courses and much more.
- Opportunity to become an NLEA Provincial Official (Judge or Steward).
- Potential for discounted access to NLEA seminars, clinics, sponsored events and more.
- Access to discounted educational courses and training through Equine Guelph's "The Horse Portal".
- Reduced subscription rates for Atlantic Horse and Pony magazine.
Processing of Memberships:
- Completion of the "NLEA Membership Form" and payment in full is required to be considered a Member in Good Standing.
- Membership and insurance coverage is in effect the moment payment in full has been received. Membership for any given year is from January 1st through December 31st annually.
- NO MATTER WHAT DATE YOU PAID YOUR MEMBERSHIP, IT AND YOUR LIABILITY INSURANCE EXPIRES EACH YEAR ON DECEMBER 31st.
- UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR THE CURRENT YEAR YOU ARE NOT COVERED.
- RENEWALS ARE SENT OUT BY DECEMBER AND SHOULD BE PAID ASAP TO CONTINUE YOUR UNINTERRUPTED COVERAGE.
- Membership and insurance coverage is in effect the moment payment in full has been received. Membership for any given year is from January 1st through December 31st annually.
- We accept payment via e-transfer or cheque by mail only. Do not send cash.
Should you require your membership to be expedited, please contact the Secretary directly.
- Expedited memberships will be processed within 7 days.
- Expedited memberships are subject to a $25.00 fee which must be received before processing.
