NCCP Equestrian Theory Course
**OPEN TO ALL DISCIPLINES AND EQUESTRIANS**
This NCCP/EC workshop is highly recommended for all equestrians interested in further developing their understanding of the broader skill sets required for Instructors and Coaches. Resource material and workbook provided.
Date: September 22 & 23, 2018
Location: This will be held in the St. John’s area (location to be confirmed)
Facilitator: Betty Ann McPhedren
Price: Approx. $150 - $200 for both days (To be confirmed, determined by number of registrants)
During this course you will work through four modules:
Learning and Teaching in the Equestrian Environment
▪A look at various learning and teaching styles
▪Group activities to apply theory to the equestrian environment
Make Ethical Decisions in the Equestrian Environment Module
▪Necessary Preparation and information for the completing the Online Making Ethical Decisions Evaluation,
▪This will give you access to the online evaluation at no charge
Planning a Practice in the Equestrian Environment Module
▪Understanding Long Term Equestrian Development
▪Planning lessons
▪Appropriate progressions for skill and age of athlete
Analyze Performance in the Equestrian Environment Module
▪Developing a process for analyzing performance for various disciplines
▪Finding the root of the issue and discussing various exercises to help the athlete improve
