Processing of Memberships:
- Memberships are in effect January 1st, of that year or when payment is received.
- We accept e-transfer and cheque by mail only. Do not send cash.
- Membership and insurance expires on December 31st of that year.

NLEA members can participate in the Provincial Primary Competition Circuit and are eligible for Year End and Achievement Awards.
Sport NL affiliation
NLEA members can access Sport NL financial support such as scholarships, championship hosting grants, athlete assistance, NCCP courses and coaching and officials updating and certification.
Atlantic Horse & Pony Magazine
NLEA members enjoy reduced subscription rates for Atlantic Canada's popular equine magazine, "Atlantic Horse & Pony" - $15.00/year, quarterly publication. You can subscribe directly through your membership form.
Equestrian Canada affiliation
The Newfoundland & Labrador Equestrian Association is an affiliate of Equestrian Canada (EC). NLEA members can access Equestrian Canada's Learn to Ride and Coaching Programs. NLEA members can become Sport License Holders with Equestrian Canada to compete in EC sanctioned Bronze, Silver and Gold level shows.

$5,000,000 Personal Liability Insurance ($1000 Property Damage Deductible)
Protects you, the member, if you are sued by a third party because a horse that you own or lease, ride or
Handle non-commercially, causes property damage or bodily injury to a third party. **Liability coverage is for non-commercial equine related activities. Some limitations and exclusions apply. Coverage is in force, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and covers the member (Canadian Resident) anywhere in the world. (Exclusions apply for members who are non-Canadian residents)
$30,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage
Covering you, the member, should you suffer a catastrophic injury, dismemberment or death arising from equine related activities. (Under the age of 90 and only available to Canadian Residents)
OPTIONAL INSURANCE PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
Enhanced Accidental Death & Dismemberment including Fracture and Dental Benefits - $50.00/year
$50,000 coverage for injuries, dismemberment and death sustained during horse related events including during travel to and from an equine event in a vehicle. This policy will pay regardless of any other insurance that may be in force at the time of the incident. Enhanced AD&D is restricted to members the age of 75 years.

NLEA Member Named Perils - $35.00/year
$10,000 coverage for horse mortality due to named perils. Horse(s) you own are covered for death arising from fire, lightning, transportation, earthquake, flood or attack by dogs or wild animals. Limit of $10,000 for any one loss and any one term. Includes compensation for government ordered destruction of horse. This policy must be purchased by the owner of the horse(s).

NLEA Member Tack - $75.00/year
$10,000 coverage against loss or damage from "all risks" for owned tack and equipment, excluding rider clothing and protective equipment, anywhere in Continental US/Canada. Limit of coverage is $10,000 for any one loss, total limit per term. Losses subject to a $500.00 deductible.
